"Almost Out of Grace" is one of our best books in quality that we have been able to put out in the market place. It's only a 120 page book. I purposely made these books in low page counts so that everyone is able to finish reading it. Low page counts means less intimidation. I can say the same message in 120 pages then in 348 pages. I just get straight to the point. "Almost Out of Grace" was done on the Best Sellers Package. A custom cover design was done by a few friends of mine that have proven to do great work. Jessica photographed the perfect still shot we needed and Febe was able to capture the idea I described to her perfectly for the cover layout. Jeanette,the editor, was very patient with my busy schedule but we finally got the rewrites done via email. Creating a great book takes more than just a great story. It takes a team of people working on your behalf. The custom pictures,book cover design and editing were all extra cost outside of the publishing fee and printers fee. But it was worth it when I received the galley prints for proof approval. The printer I decided to you use made it more cost effective in the long run because I can order 1 to any amount of books but they all cost the same. It gave me other options as well royalties are paid from retail outlets to a wholesale distributor then to us quarterly. So if your book takes off online or in bookstores via Barnes, Amazon, etc you will get a check paid to you monthly from RevMedia Publishing.

You need to plan now for your back cover. Have a descriptive narrative of your book along with some information about you. Like I did on my back cover. I basically include the preface along with my bio from my ministry website along with a picture of myself from my site. I encourage you to plan now for you book cover.  The printers I use want to print a book for you that sells. They want you to call back with orders. However, they will not be creative and do it for you. They just print what you send them. Its up to you to be the spark behind design and creativity!

"My Military Life and the Power of God" is my first book that I wrote back in 2005. I had a desire to write something one night besides a sermon so I started writing about my testimony in the Navy. It was also the book that gave me the experience in publishing that moved me to create a publishing department within our ministry. We could continue to bring our books out but also the books of men and women of God to the world. When you look at this book you will see a great story. But I didn't hire a professional editor for proofing and grammar. Also I used a stock template provided from one of my book printers. It was nice but can not be compared to a custom design. Custom designs could run from $200 to $600.

One other thing I learned from this book was that you had to order books in bulk for a deeper discounts.  I didn't always have the money to buy 100 books at a time.  So I set out to find a better option and I did. 

So "My Military life and the Power of God" is an example of a really basic book cover and print job.  It's cost effective versus a full custom package if you don't want to pay for a custom cover and you can order you books in quantities.
 
But like I said before I did find a better way to print a book, to get published and in the market place.  Out of all the websites you see on book publishing this one will help you save money and headaches.
